# Check if user has a PIN or Password

**GET /user/pin-or-password**

This call can be used to check if the user PIN or password is set and verified.

### 200: PIN or password is set

#### Body Parameters: application/json (object)
- **pin** (boolean)
  indicates if PIN is set and validated
- **password** (boolean)
  indicates if password is set and validated

### 401: OAuth token missing or invalid or a linked identity is missing.

Linked identity missing is a special case where you need to make sure that
the user has additionally logged in / authorized with a third-party.

This is not relevant for most use-cases.

The specific error code that identifies a missing linked identity is `missing-linked-identity`
