# Configure a cart item

**POST /2026-2/cart-items/{cartItemId}/configure**

Configure a specific item in the cart, submitting the user provided configuration value.

### Path parameters

- **cartItemId** (string(uuid))
  The unique identifier of the cart item to configure.

- **configuration** (object)
  The configuration to apply, discriminated by its type.

The cart item has been successfully configured.

  The cart item that has been configured.


### 400
The request parameters are missing or invalid, or the provider rejected the configuration.

### 401
Client authentication failed.

### 403
Missing one or more required scopes.

### 404
The specified cart item was not found.

### 500
An unexpected error occurred.
