# Cancel a cart item

**POST /2026-2/cart-items/{cartItemId}/cancel**

Cancels a specific item in the cart, marking it as no longer needed.

- **cartItemId** (string(uuid))
  The unique identifier of the cart item to cancel.

Client authentication failed.

### 403
Missing one or more required scopes.

The specified cart item was not found.

The cart item has not been checked out yet, or its checkout is already completed.

An unexpected error occurred.
