# Checkout a cart.

**POST /2026-1/carts/{cartId}/checkout**

Checks out all items in the specific cart.

## Parameters

### Path parameters

- **cartId** (string(uuid))
  The unique identifier of the cart to checkout.



### Body: application/json (object)

- **actionsCancelRedirectUrl** (string(uri))
  The URL to redirect the client after cancelling authorization actions.

- **actionsFailureRedirectUrl** (string(uri))
  The URL to redirect the client after failing to submit authorization actions.

- **actionsSuccessRedirectUrl** (string(uri))
  The URL to redirect the client after successfully submitting authorization actions.

- **metadata** (object)
  The metadata to pass to the payment service during payment authorization.



## Responses
### 200
The checkout process has either been completed or has failed.

  The cart that has been checked out.


### 400
The request parameters are missing or invalid, or the cart has no payment method set.

### 401
Client authentication failed.

### 403
Missing one or more required scopes.

### 404
The specified cart was not found.

### 409
The cart already has a checkout in progress, has already completed a checkout, is being modified concurrently, or has reached its checkout attempt limit.

### 500
An unexpected error occurred.
